PollBag's Privacy Policy
PollBag was created with the aim of helping you gather and understand the views and opinions of other people. To facilitate this process, we require all our users to provide certain personal information. At PollBag, we know that you are concerned about how your personal information is used and shared, and we are serious about protecting your privacy.

This privacy policy covers how PollBag treats your personal information when you are on the PollBag website and/or use any services designed and maintained by PollBag. This policy does not cover websites and/or services that are created and maintained by third parties which are not owned or controlled by PollBag.

Information PollBag collects and their uses
Information you provide us
We receive and store all information you enter on our website or provide to us by any other means. The following summarizes the information you may provide when using services by PollBag:

1. Registration
   Registration is required before you can vote on PollBag polls, post comments, create polls or use many of PollBag’s other features. You will be asked to provide the following information when registering with PollBag:


• Username
  This is used to identify you throughout the PollBag site. Currently, your username is displayed on every poll you create and on every comment you post on our message boards.
  
  
• Password
  Your password is used in conjunction with your username to log into our site.
  
  
• Email Address
  PollBag will only use the email address you have provided to communicate with you in the following situations:
• To provide a verification when you have registered with the site for the first time
• When a friend has requested to share a poll with you
• To provide a response to a question you may have asked to PollBag
• To notify you about issues and changes changes to your account and to the PollBag service


• Gender, Birth-date, location
  PollBag solely uses this information to provide a basic profile of all voters in any given poll. We believe this may help you determine if results from any given poll are biased. At present, only your gender and birth-date are used.


2. Polls
   You may also submit other information to us when participating in polls. These include your individual vote and rating for the poll, and any posts you may submit to the message board for that poll. In addition, as described above, we also aggregate personal information such as your age and gender with that of other users to provide a general profile of voters who participated in that poll.
   
   Please note that voting in and rating all polls in PollBag is voluntary and completely anonymous. Information such as your age and gender is aggregated for all voters in a given poll and cannot be used to trace any individual voter. When posting messages on message boards however, please be aware that your username is displayed beside the message.
   

Information automatically collected
PollBag also automatically collects information from you as you browse the site. The following summarizes the information PollBag automatically collects as you browse the site:

1. From Polls
   PollBag tracks all the polls you have created, participated in and marked as your favorites. This information is published on your user-profile which can be accessed by clicking on your user-name at the top-right hand corner of the site. Information published on your user-profile is accessible to all PollBag users, and enables other users to discover new polls throughout PollBag.


2. Cookies
   Cookies are parcels of text sent by our servers to your web-browser and then sent back again. We use cookies to authenticate your visit to PollBag and to keep track of the pages you visit across the site. We do not collect any personal information using cookies.
   

Sharing your information
Because PollBag was created with the aim of helping you gather and understand the views and opinions of other people, collecting and displaying information about you and others who use PollBag is integral to the overall user experience. However, please be assured that we will neither share, sell nor rent the information you provide us to any third party. Exceptions to this rule are listed below.

1. PollBag Personnel
   Authorized personnel including consultants, contractors and employees may have access to user information only when absolutely necessary in the normal course of business.


2. Protection of PollBag and others
   PollBag may release your user information when we believe in good faith that such a release of information is necessary to comply with local laws, enforce or apply our user or other policies, or protect PollBag, its employees, its users or others.


3. User profile information
   Information on all polls you have created, participated in or marked as your favorites are published on your profile. This is publicly available to other PollBag users and enables other users to discover new polls in PollBag.


4. With your consent
   We will contact you when your personal information is shared with third parties or for purposes not listed above. You can choose to opt out to prevent the sharing of your information at that time.
   

Information about your account
You may make changes to your personal information at any time by clicking here . At this time, there is no facility that will let you control the emails you receive from PollBag. This will be made available soon.

Please note that when you update your information, we do not maintain any previous or unrevised information in our records.

Children under the age of 18
You must be at least 13 years old to register and use this site. We do not seek to collect any information from any children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have collected any information from a child below 13, we will promptly delete this.

If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, we recommend that you receive permission from your parents before using PollBag or sending any information about yourself over the Internet.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
PollBag may amend this privacy policy from time to time, at its sole discretion. Any information we collect is subject to the privacy policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes to the policy, we will notify you by posting a message on the PollBag website so you are always aware of what information we collect, and how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, is it disclosed.

Conditions of Use
If you decide to visit PollBag and use any of the services provided by PollBag, you will be subjected to the privacy policy and our Terms of Use .
